Procedure for Undertaking a Rescue from the Transformer Room of a Rev 5 Tower
This Video shows Technicians undertaking an exercise to rescue a colleague from the Transformer Room of a Rev 5 Tower. It is important to note that the 'casualty' had NOT been overcome by fumes and that it is safe to carry out the rescue procedure.
The process includes the use of a Tripod fitted with a Fall-Arrest Device above the TX Room hatchway, and shows how the Altair 4 Gas Monitor must be used by Technicians in the TX Room to constantly monitor air quality throughout the rescue.
